Interim Visa allow applicants to enter Vanuatu for up to 4 months for the purpose of work, to undertake research, or participate in missionary activities.
The Interim Visa should also be used if you have lodged an application with the Vanuatu Investment and Promotion Authority (VIPA) as a foreign investor that has not been finally determined. It is important that you maintain a lawful status in Vanuatu while awaiting the outcome of your application.
Citizens of the following countries are exempt from the necessity of having visas in their passports when landing in Vanuatu.

The exact visa application charge must be paid before the form is submitted for processing.
- the visa holder must comply with all the laws of Vanuatu;
- the visa holder must not behave in a manner that is prejudicial to peace, good order, good government or public morality in Vanuatu; and
- the visa holder must inform Vanuatu Immigration of any significant changes to his or her personal or financial circumstances
